Activision has just announced during a press release that Call of Duty Elite and all of its features for Black Ops II will be completely free, unlike during Modern Warfare 3's launch where players had to buy a premium subscription for $50 a year to access every feature. The next version of CoD: Elite that launches at the same with BO2 will have new and enhanced features such as:
Player HQ - Track your in-game statistics and matches. You can also extensively modify your classes online and import them to your game.
Zombies Support - Track your Zombies mode stats and compare them to other players.
Call of Duty Elite TV - Features developer tips from Treyarch, strategy programming, custom class overviews, and more.
Social Sharing and Notifications - New notification system that allows you to stay updated with what is going on in Black Ops II.
Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC. Multiplayer is available on Xbox LIVE (Xbox 360), PSN (PS3) and Steam. Xbox LIVE requires Gold Membership.

The next Call of Duty game is Black Ops 3 and it will be released on November 6 on current and previous generation consoles. Treyarch's new black ops 3 game features all new weapons, perks, scorestreaks and maps.
